Title: Hema iPad App - help
Post by: Jason B on November 23, 2012, 07:21:30 PM
Hi guys

I have recently acquired the Hema iPad App and would like a bit of advice on a couple of functions from those who are using it please.

Firstly after I have asked it to go to a way point, how do I turn this feature off again? Currently the nav page is still directing me to my last request and I don't know how to turn it off again.

Secondly is there a way to make the app operate in the map up style so that you may always be travelling towards the top of the page with the maps orientation correct. My ozy explorer device and other GPS both do this.

Any other tricks or tips also appreciated.

Regards

Jas

I think if you touch the waypoint or hold your finger on it for a second or two, a drop down arrow appears, touch this & there are a few choices.

Mine always runs The "right" way up. I generally have it in a cradle in landscape mode.

Hope this helps.

The only way I have figured out how to turn of the 'GoTo' function is to delete the waypoint i had selected from the Marks list.

If you have saved the waypoints before you delete it you can just reload them once deleted and its back....

Spoke to Hema today. It is a glitch with their current app that they will rectify in a future upgrade. They said the best way to kill it was to make a dummy way point and set the unit to goto that. Then delete it. This way you won't loose any of your actual way points.
