I might look at that lost. I have looked at sketch up years ago, but found it difficult to use. Might see if it has got any better .

its got a heap of tutorials on how to use it, you just watch and away you go. this is what i did in designing a rear storage system and i also knocked up some camping gear to see how it would fit, than even added textures and colour. i seperated each component added in some measurements and printed out and gave to local aluminium mob who cut it all out with laser.

Progecad - Autocad clone

They've fit a 30 day demo you can download, fully functional,

We use it at work. Beats paying $8k for Autocad when it it $500

QCAD Community Edition is free  -- You find the "Community Edition" on their download page http://www.qcad.org/en/qcad-downloads-trial (http://www.qcad.org/en/qcad-downloads-trial)  You will need to scroll down to see the "Community Edition"  -- The Pro edition looks nice as well  not badly priced at EUR32.00 -- There is a online forum for Qcad http://www.qcad.org/rsforum/ (http://www.qcad.org/rsforum/)

There is LibreCAD http://librecad.org/ (http://librecad.org/)  It's free as well, could even be better than Qcad not sure.
