Good price, i paid $1,800 back on the 30th of June, but i did get a 62 piece toolkit with as well as the other free crap already mentioned, delivered to my door in Tin Can in 24 hours.
I badly needed one for.... lets say..... work, so i grabbed it in the last fin. year.
I'm stuffed though, how it ended up in the CT on the Fraser trip but and of course, it seemed silly not to use it, seeing as it was just sitting there, full of fuel with 5 litres of back up fuel.
they are a great gennie, really quite and all that.

There may come a time in the future - the near future - when having a generator will mean the difference between life going on as usual for you and yours, and major difficulties... I don't own one yet but it's one of the few 'survival' bits of gear I haven't yet ticked off my list. Yep no-one likes them in campgrounds, and fair enough too, but as something to kick over when the time comes, it is going to be well worth the investment.

Well said.
Anyone who does start up their gennie in campgrounds should be shot. Except for health reasons. People who stress about their battery levels should, on their way out, pull up somewhere, where no one is around and throw a line out, relax, and crank gennie and recharge your batteries.IMO

If the noise from my Honda gennie annoys anyone they can either get over it or get the hell out of the campgrounds. ;D

And that's exactly why I am camping less and less at known camp grounds.
Although generators do annoy me, I do carry a Honda EU10i just in case. The really annoying part is because so many people are so inconsiderate and think they are the only ones there. And it's attitudes like above that give generators a bad wrap.
I went the EU10i because it is the smallest and quietest generator around, all I need to run is two Engel fridges and a Batt charger which it does easily....In those few cases where the solar is not sufficient. The Honda's cost a little more but well worth in.

Im sure part of the etiquette of the forum is language, being civil and thats it is a family friendly environment.

If a neighbour has a genny, I'd slip him a dollar and ask to plug in ffr a ccouple hours.
Cheaper than paying apowered site with my van only having a couple very small lights and my fridge.
hate paying full price for same as those that ru. 240v microwave /aircon etc.
An hour or two in the Bennie would just topbup my battery and let me rest easy knowing my frdgeis cooling a d battery charging, not to mention no doubtcharge my laptop etc.
I'd slip him a dollar and make use of it.

Yes. I am condoning people being shot. (there is not a gif that shows how much I am rolling my eyes so just imagine it) 8)
Did you take agro pills or something. My reference was to it being an open forum and anyone can post on your thread.
THATS the argument I was making. You dont own the thread.

does anyone know if the EU10 is big enough to run a small van air conditioner?

Yes point taken i didnt even read the quote
Still stand by what i said keep it civil im sure theres another way of expressing dislikes to gennys.
-
If i'm camped fairly close to someome.i'd tell them i'm going to fire the gennie up for whatever reason and they would be welcome to plug in if they needed to.
If they're not too close, just do it.
As has been seen on here in several threads, ya can't please all the people, all the time, but geez, don't give ya selves an ulcer over it.
-
I'd share your gennie Jeepers.
My snoring would probably keep you awake in return........!!
-
My Gennie takes a shotgun round to get it started ;D
Remember those? My uncle had one on the farm.

Most air conditioners will not run on the eu10. The eu20 will but again depends on the aircon. At the bendigo show this weekend they had an eu20 running an air command sparrow roof top air con.
Swannie.
