Track down a local beekeeper and get some fresh honey. it works for me and my mate who i supply with our honey
-
Honey? As in just a spoonful, keeps the medicine away? Will track down some quality honey first, none of that commercial crap. Thanks
-
Yes dont go commercial get some that hasnt been heated or blended, you want some that is pretty much straight from the hive. You wil have someone local who keeps bees. The theory is that as it contains some levels of pollen your body adjusts. not sure if it has been proven scientifically but my mate swears by it and he was a bad sufferer.

I dont get it much down here but in the Riverina - yikes!
I found if I took a telfast each morning AND added eye drops before getting out of bed and laying there for ten minutes seemed to work well. I found rhinocourt nasal spray good as well.
Whatever you use in needs to inhibit the mast cells from reacting to the irritant (rye grass, pollen - whatever your irritant of choice is). Honey may work for some as it may tend to desensitise the body as it contains small traces of the irritant the bees have picked up. It normally wont work like a tablet but may help over time. (the honey MUST come from where you live.)
Feel for you and good luck!

Just another snifter of a day

This works for me: http://www.healthfoodthyme.com.au/Products/Australian-Harvest---Organic-Horseradish-Vinegar-with-Bio-Gr (http://www.healthfoodthyme.com.au/Products/Australian-Harvest---Organic-Horseradish-Vinegar-with-Bio-Gr)
Not so sure about the 'beautiful tasting' though!

I find that either not getting out of bed OR a Polarmine work best.

P.S. And don't catch the first flight to Brisbane tonight ... it's blowing a gale here at the moment!

Sleep and regular changes of our pillows helps me greatly ;D
-
Regular pills, I always change brands every packet or so,
Plus minimise alcohol, and spicy food.
But I'll look out for some local honey.
-
just line some doctors pockets with wads of cash and get decensitised costs a packet takes about a year and sometimes works

Well last week I had a good dose of hay fever, you know the usual runny, itchy nose, sneezing, etc., :cup: anyway the snozz finished up pretty tender :'( so in desperation I covered a pinky with good old "savlon" and spread that around up the snout, well the brain spun around a bit and the eyes rolled from the smell,( it really isn't that good up close and personal like that ) but guess what, not only did the snozz feel better but the sneezing stopped, well almost stopped.
Before any body gets smart a*sed and says :worthles: there arn't any!!

Don't want to talk about it... :'( (sneeze, blow and wipe)
Sufferer for 20 odd years and this year is something that has taken me by the horns and thrown me into the ring.
Have tried everything minus the honey,I'm going to give it a go (sneeze)
Tried all chemical/herbal therapies(sneeze, blow and wipe) but will fight on.
Heart doest like pysdoefferdrine, beats hundred miles per hour but have found the garlic/horseradish tablets did ease some what.
-
I suffered as well for about 20ish years buy a few years back I tried Avil Tablets, works great only side affect is they make you drowsy ! ;D
-
I had hay fever badly for 36 years, you know the symptons, swollen closed eyes nose rubbing like a tap ithcy throat, struggling for breath, welts on the skin, and that general lethargy that goes with it. >:(
Got it cured straight away with a Kidney transplant and the fantastic assistance of my Mum and Dad as donors and the team at Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital in WA laugh:
All those steroid based immune suppressents worked a treat. :D
Wouldnt recomend it to any one, but got to be some advantages to a near death experience.
Cheers Mike

Suffer does not describe it! Perth this year has been my worst in 40 odd years. I suffered as a younger person in Sydney then had 10 years reprieve living on the east coast. The easterly on shore breeze was like my very own nebulised saline! Now, the canola loaded breeze over the Darling is like sitting in a florist permanently. Nothing works! Just riding it out and praying for rain (it never rains here so that's not helping either).
Hang in there fellow suffers!
See you out there.
