Hi all, My Swaggers are always very helpful when one has a question or three. Would like your opinion on a camper we are hoping to take a look at on the weekend. It is an Aussie Swag 1998 Challenger, advertised on Trading Post $14K. Is this a reasonable price and what things should we pay particular attention to when going over it, if we get that far. It seems to be a good starting point within the budget.

Aussie swag offroad camper trailer Australian design and build 98 model
Registered Tregg hitch 70 ltr water tank Slide out kitchen with Coleman cooker, gas bottle,complete with plates,cutlery etc and wood storage box (HWS not included) Slide out drawer ( we use as a pantry ) for heaps of storage, great for on the side of road lunches. Twin jerry can holder with Jerry cans and gas bottle holder, stone guard, swing away dolly wheel. All galvanised chassis Poles, great ropes and solid pegs ( no cheap rubbish ) Heaps of ventilation with 6 windows, all zips and fly wire in perfect order Canvas in ex cond no rips, tears, holes but is dirty / dusty Bed is double/queen not sure, it lifts up ( on gas struts ) for more storage. This can also be accessed thru the fold down tail gate when camper is packed up. Comes with bunk beds ( only one shown ) and 12 volt reading light and 240 volt outlets with circuit breaker. Suspension is leaf sprung with shockers, electric brakes, 16" 6 stud sunraysias and tyres are like new. When packed up the hard floor can become a boat rack and in the sleeping position all the water and mud goes right underneath. I am the 2nd owner of this well cared for camper. Mainly been used for short camping trips for last 4 years & am now upgrading. As you can see via photos this Aussie Swag has all the canvas options & much more!! *Main awning on kitchen side *Sun awning on opposite side (which also can zip on main side) *Full screen walls & canvas walls *Rear end kiddies room *Ensuite walls which attach to sun awning (which I had made up) OTHER ACCESSORIES * Slide out kitchen * Full size pantry * 4.5kg gas bottle x 2 * 2 jerry can holders * Chemical toilet * Cube hot water shower system (portable) * Storage box on front with fridge slider for 80ltr Waeco (Fridge can be purchased seperatly) * full 12 v & 240 volt electircal system, x 2 12v outlets outside & 2 inside combined with 200 amp battery * Seperate anderson plug so you can charge as you drive + 3 stage charger for 240v * Treg towing hitch (allows you to go off road) I did carry two small motorbikes up top so there is two wheel channels which can be removed with out to much fuss.

well worth a drive I reckon.
Ask for a stack mor ephotos, then get someone in Sydney go inspect it for you for a few beers.
if its what you want, friday drive down, pickup saturday, drive home saturday/sunday.

We went to Sydney for ours. We flew up one weekend to have a look, made an offer during the week, and drove back the following weekend to pick it up.
Sometimes you need to travel........

I didn't realise I had confused the two campers, been looking at so many. The one we are interested in is the 2002 Challenger.
