Title: Rego inspection required for CT's?

The CT is coming up to 3 years old and I was wondering if I need to take it for a rego inspection after 5 years like other registered vehicles?
If so do you just take it to a normal inspection place for motor vehicles?
I'm in NSW and the trailer is 850kg and braked.

Firstly your rego renewal will state whether an inspection is required or not.
If yes, then just take it to any place that does PINK slips.

I was told by a rep from the RTA that any trailer over 5 years old needs one but the 30 year old rust pile in dads hay shed (it used to be a box trailer) has never had one and is still registered.

Singo, I'm guessing your Dad's "30 year old rust pile" carries over from regulations that were around when the Ark was built, making it exempt!

Our Trackabout [GVM 750kg with brakes] need an inspection from day one, Our ModCon [1250kgs & braked] does not at least so far....Not sure why but I'm not complaining... Both 1st registered in NSW & both weighed in NSW eventhough both were built in Qld

IMHO I believe that having Off Road in the manufacturer's specs has a lot to do with it.
