Holden was down 18.7 per cent in September despite the market enjoying a 3.2 per cent increase over August. It recorded huge drops for its leading models including the locally-made Commodore (down 31.8 per cent) and Cruze (down 37.4 per cent).

It is a concern, although when the Australian dollar does correct itself (if it does) it'll help local manufacturers compete again. It's a tough market for any local manufacturer that's for sure.

Take govt sales away and they are doomed which reflects how poor the vehicles are. Maybe they could build cars people want.
