So the wife and I pick up our new Hawk Outback in June this year. Due to a number of reasons (work/overseas trip) we have not had it out yet...well that was until yesterday. Being our first camper we wanted to have a go at putting up the annexe so we didn't look stupid when we took it away next week. To my surprise the brackets that the roof poles hook onto were not attached to the camper and were still in a plastic bag awaiting installation.
Further to this the dealer 'forgot' to send off the rego form so little did we know our camper has been unregistered for the past few months....just as well we were too busy to use it >:(
That aside we are hopefully taking it out to Lightning Ridge for a few days next week!!!

OMG, sounds like the dealer needs a kick up the rear.
Surely they are there to ensure everything is in place BEFORE handing it over.

Sorry to hear Jayco stuffed you around like that, I hope they are rectifying these problems ASAP.
Don't let these experiences turn you of Jayco it's still a great ct.
Have a great trip to Lightning Ridge and remember to post the pics when you get back.
Safe trip

Hmmm
Sounds like a dealer issue, as opposed to a Jayco issue. ???
Was the awning dealer fitted or ordered from the Jayco factory?.
I bought an awning from prestige via ebay and had it sent up to Cairns after I bought my camper, and this had the same brackets that I installed, which was OK in my case, however, if your awning was dealer fitted from new, then they should fit the brackets from you
cheers
