Title: alko beam axle?
Post by: iang59 on September 12, 2012, 03:13:22 PM
hi we are new to camping and have bought a second hand camper trailer. the trailer was homemade in cairns about 15 years ago and has a alko rubber suspension fitted to what i think is called a beam axle assy.  the drawbar is a single large box section bolted dirctly to axle. the coupling, jockey wheel and override brake assy. are all one piece and fit over the box section drawbar.
the camper trailer is in verygood condition and seems to tow very well. just wondering if anyone has seen this type of setup. i think the coupling assy is german designed. thanks ian and vicki
