Title: I am still alive if anyone remembers me
Post by: Annie on August 31, 2012, 09:09:01 PM
Been a while,

Just been down to Stanthorpe, for daughters 30th

We went to Charleville and then down the Bollon road to a friends property for two nites before heading onto stanthorpe, though Bollon
St George, Goonwindi then took the river road to Texas, then onto Stanthorpe,

We also went to Inverell and back to Stanthorpe, before headin home, up though Warwick, Toowoomba, Crows Nest, Nanago, Murgon and Wondai for an over nite stop

From there we went back to Murgon and onto BanBan Springs, Biggenden, and Maryborough, then Hervey Bay for the nite.

Dropped in and saw Ash working hard.

From Hervey Bay it was up to childers for brekkie, then onto Biloela, and Banana for over nite stop.

Then from Banana, Baralaba, then Emerald, stopped with other daughter and kidlets

Arrived home Thursday afternoon.

It was good to be home but did enjoy the trip

I wondered if you let us know the property name where you stayed between Charleville and Bollon. I grew up on "Coniston" 11 miles west of the Charleville Bollon Road along the Wyandra Road.  You would have passed this turnoff to Wyandra just south of "Boatman".  We moved 90 miles further south on the Nebine Creek which flows though Boatman (35 miles south of the Bollon Cunnamulla road) where my brother still is today.

Yeh, I know I'm lazy quoting miles, but that's what we all used back in those days. I know that neck of the woods pretty well  :D

That's a ripper trip, and a great time of year to do it too; You saw some beaut country I bet.
I love this bit, hehe..........
 :worthles:

Wow, you've got more self-control than me!
I have to admit if I found myself in Hervey Bay at this time year it certainly wouldn't be an over nighter.
I'd call my boss and say I'm dead and when the time came you'd have to drag me out kicking and screaming like a little girl.

-Cheers,
            GR.
