Hey All,
In my Camel I have a 3 Burner stove. The issue I have is the hose with it is far too short and I have to sit the gas cylinder on top of the kitchen bench, obviously taking up valuable space. The only other option I had was to use our space case and a milk crate to get it high enough behind the tailgate so that it could be plumbed into the stove.

Now rather than going out and buying a whole new setup, I was wondering what options I had to get a longer hose. I am unsure what the name of the fittings are which are on the stove itself but they are like a normal 3/8 hose with a male section in the middle.
Any help would be appreciated.

This is the hose that come with itnly 600mm. One about 1500mm would be nice.

Give Gasmate a call, they are a good company to deal with.

I dont think you can get high pressure longer than 1200mm.
One of these will do the trick for you though:

are they high or low?
I tried to get one for my other old stove, and couldnt get one anywhere.. not even Pirtek.

Father-in-law has just done the same thing. He went to buy a extension hose, but was advised they were illegal. So he had a mobile gasfitter come out to the house. He made up a new longer hose (out of that same orange rubber hose), put the right fittings on each end, and a new regulator on the end. All up, $100 cash-in-hand.
Might be an option for you.
Good luck!
Matto :)

99% of gas stoves are high pressure and rely on jets to regulate the flow of gas. Not a regulator.
There should be no reason to have a gas fitter make up a hose for you unless you want to go longer than is recommended.
The risk if you go longer than the 1200mm so I believe is that the gas will re liquidify and cause flame outs.
The gas industry has prevented people from being able to buy the wrong hose for the wrong appliance by controlling what fitting goes on what. This means that you will not be able to use a low pressure hose on a high pressure stove for example.

Awesome. One of them will definately make life easier. Does anyone know whether the Gasmate uses coarse or fine thread?

I think 1.2m was the limit I could find in shops/online, because of reasons mentioned above (high pressure hose).
Have you considered hanging the bottle on a secure hook, from the back of the kitchen? (assuming it is some kind of tailgate-mounted setup, or drifta etc.).
-
I have thought about that but a longer hose would give the extra bit of flexibility so the stove isn't so close to the canvas. We can put it on the bench extension out of the way. Also would save us connecting and disconnecting each time we use it. Having to plumb it all up for a coffee is a pain in the a$$

Why not use a small butane stove when you just want to boil water?
-
Oztrail - and possibly other brands - have a longer gas line that will allow the bottle to sit on the ground. It is around 1200mm long. Stove will cost around $80, I think. That will give you the longer line and a spare stove!
Not sure of your kitchen layout but maybe you could install a hook somewhere to hold the gas bottle while in use...?

Hey Hobble80,
Just bought myself a gasmate 2 burner stove and then realized the shirt hose delimma. Wondering if you had any luck with finding a suitable longer hose for yours? I've tried the tentworld prunus hoses and they don't match.
Cheers

I use the 1200 hose with no issues

Is that the one from tentworld 1200?
