Title: Victoria's Iconic 4wd Adventures
Post by: D4D on July 27, 2012, 08:40:02 PM: There has been a few posts from non-Mexicans asking about the best tracks etc for the VIC High Country. These notes were published a while ago but they are a good reference for some very nice drives.

•Grampians Drive - Rugged mountain peaks and dramatic rock formations
•Otways Drive - Stunning coastal views, tall forests and waterfalls
•Mallee Drive - Remarkable Victorian outback landscapes
•Wonnangatta Drive - High Country History and heritage
•Snowy River Drive - Journey to the heart of legendary Snowy River country
•Davies Plain Drive - Remote and challenging Alpine country

Add Stud Rd to these and you have the quaddie of the most PITA roads to travel on in Melbourne. ;D

All great drives, but only half are in the High Country.

and for those old enough to remember, burnouts in Bouverie St.
As an 18 year old we used to think it was so cool to sit in grid locked traffic for 6 hours on a Saturday night!

These days it's dodging the lycra clad warriors on the Hurstbridge-Kinglake road.

I'm not silly, I went to a prang there the other day and it took me twenty mins, lights and sirens.
