Hey folks,
We have finally convinced my brother to archive the old tent and grab a camper trailer.
He is looking at a Country Camper brand, "Super Max Off Road" model.
Try as I might I cannot find any comments good or bad anywhere about this manufacturer .
Can anyone shed some light ?
If you own one would love your comments / experiences.
Being in SA not a hell of a lot of camper trailers come up for sale secondhand so looks like a newie may be the go,
Any help much appreciated,
cheers Pete

If your talking about country campers in Medowie NSW, the owner Ray Clarke used to build the trailers for Redback Campers, which were the first to have the walkway at the front, his trailers are bullet proof, our camper is now 9yrs old and is very strong, only thing I've done to the trailer is upgrade the springs about 18mths ago.
Don't who or where his tent tops are from.
Baz.

Cheers Baz, wonder if they are connected ?

There's no mention of Mt Barker SA on the website for country campers in Medowie.

I thought it was Sar major campers that sold the super max off road model?
Just be patient, i ended up picking up a Challenge camper a few years old advertised at 15K for 8K ;D
Good Luck

I reckon get to the showgrounds next week and see what you can get. Talking to the sellers there you never know what they may have available.

Hi,
I think this is the company PajeroPete is referring to...
http://www.countrycampers.net.au/Products.html (http://www.countrycampers.net.au/Products.html)
According to the wed site the Super-Max model is $7,150 (which is a Sar Major 'Super-max' trailer with a tent imported by Country Campers.
Are you aware that Sar Major now sell an imported tent option? For $7,290 from Sar Major you can buy their 'Super-max' trailer (same as used by Country Campers) with a tent imported by Sar Major.
I think for only $140 more, I prefer to buy directly from Sar Major - Sar Major are a reliable company that have been in business in SA for over 50 years (at the same premises!). How long have Country Camper been trading?
I know which company I'd prefer to deal with if there was ever a warranty issue!
ps are you the Pajero Pete on the Pajero forum (I'm on the Paj forum and use the same forum name)

About 3x - 4x the price though!

Not really, they do have a cheaper option like the others also, remember they now sell Cavalier campers as well.

Caravan Camping 4WD sale on at Wayville should be a worthwhile visit for him.
Country Campers not on show there ...... wonder why ?
Possibly because its a Sar Major hybrid ?

For your info, my bro has purchased one of these Country Campers from Rudi in MT Barker.
His main reason for purchase was the larger than most windows & openings,
(and lack of other suitable second hand units in SA)
Will be interested to see the brand spanking product !
Cheers PP
ps. would be nice to be out & about today ..... lovely day in the hills ..... :D

Have a Cameron Canvas Camper myself. Great produce, South Australian 100%, made and sold at their factory at Lonsdale.
Mine is a mid-range unit, about 2+ times what is mentioned above, mainly due to the options I added when purchased, but they do have a cheaper base unit that is well made and well supported.
Worth a look, new or Second Hand
No association etc. etc., just a happy Cameron Camper
