HEEEY folks!! We bought our first CT today! We are the very proud owners of a beautiful All Terrain Campers CT - the 17 foot variety with a bunch of extras, including dual battery, tons of awning walls etc. How excited are we??!! ;D ;D
It's an '09 model with skylight over the bed and perfect canvas all around, tons of mesh/clear plastic/canvas window options etc. - has only been out 6 times, never off-road and is much better than we expected, so it was a no-brainer.
As soon as we got home, we took it up to a reserve in our street and set it up (see pics). Took me 10 mins to get it to overnight state, another 20 to get the awning up and another 20 to get all the walls on - first go (55mins to pack fully from full set-up), though after some good instruction from the previous owners (and I might say from the good folk at ATC who we were considering buying a new one from). May get those times down with practice... Half the street turned up, out came the red wine and maybe we'll have a few more converts - they were all very impressed, including one neighbour with a Kimberley Kamper!
Sad as it was to take her away from her previous owners, she has gone to loving new ones and we're already planning our first weekend away - next weekend of course (hopefully off to Innamincka/Coongie Lakes within the month)!
So my apologies for 2 posts in this area - I guess we didn't expect to traverse the big gap from aspirational owners to actual ones quite so quickly.
Cheers and see you out there!
Dave and the family
PS. Please excuse the fairly rushed and scrappy set up... :D

Nice hope you have many trips to enjoy the new ct

G'day Dave 'n' family and welcome to Myswag. Nice bit o gear those All Terrains. :cup:

Thanks everybody!
Yes, it's great to be in this position - we are now somewhat more "future-proofed", at least where travel and entertainment are concerned - endless fun from now on for very little $$ (excluding all the options for the Pathy and CT... but they're all 'life critical' of course.) ;-)
Can't wait to get into the bush regularly with the kids - what a great start for the little tackers!
Cheers and looking forward to meeting you out there somewhere!

Nothing like some solid 'post whoring' in my thread to make me feel part of the family!
