Gday,
Tracy and I have been using the my swag forum for quite sometime now as guests, so figured we better join and get involved! we have been 4w driving and camping with our 5 daughters for nearly 30yrs now and although our two eldest have married and have family's of there own our 3 youngest and us don't look like stopping anytime soon. Our current set up is a WA built Downunder Supreme off roader soft floor towed by our trusty Turbo 4.2Diesel GQ Patrol. Nearly aways owned Patrols except for a long extinct Jackeroo that we don't talk about. Started with a G60 mid wheel base, MQ.and 3x GQ wagons including our current truck.
The downunder is our second camper, we still own our first a Chesney GT Kamper built in the early 70s and still being used by our adult daughters.
We are members of the 4wd club of WA and have travelled off road extensively from top to bottom and central WA, South Aus and NT, infact were off to the eastern Pilbara on Monday to show our camping buddies through the Opthalmia ranges north west of Newman and send them off on there first Kimberley to the cape trip and we will catch up with them again on the Oodnadatta in Sept/Oct at coward springs before heading through Andado via Binns track across to Alice , Palm spring, Boggy hole finally back across the central desert rd and home via Coolgardie and the Holland track.
We love the outback and spend most of our time working and planning to get back out there!
Cheers Mike and Tracy

G'day Mike & Tracy,
Sounds like you are really out and enjoying life.
Our first Ct was a Downunder bought from Paul many moons ago.
Unfortunately that had to be sold, we now have got back into the Ct's after many years of tenting, and have bought another Downunder (albeit second hand) but i am proud as punch of the ol girl.
I hope your trip goes well, maybe some day we will meet out there on the track.
All the best.
Cheers Ray
