Please dont tell SHMBO about this thread.  I do not have  altzheimers!

Can never find Keys, wallet, specs, jocks, sox, etc.

Can never find the hammer when setting up camp.

Lost my denture once, SHMBO found it in the bottom of the big green bin.  No idea how it got there.  ???

If i could find all the tools i ever lost in the grass whilst at the farm i'd need to build a new shed to house them in.

Can allways find my way to the PC and the fridge tho.

Mace you sound just like me.
I have got 10 years on you and it just keeps going downhill.
Why is it that our wives always nag us over losing things?
What is worse is that the one bloody thing I can never lose is my wife. ??? ??? ??? ;D ;D ;D

It's a blue Rain Bird rain coat.  Purchased in Stanthorpe in 2005 and it's been very reliable and faithful till that wet camp ...

Okay, so I know I was wearing it 3 or 4 camps ago, but since then ... Thin Air ...  ???  I recall wearing it to put down the camper, hopped in the car without it on and then Ta Da ... like magic ... never seen again.   >:(  I know I haven't eaten it ... hung it up anywhere ... the house has been turned upside down so it ain't here ... maybe it's wedged under something in the car ... BF says no not in there anywhere ...  ???  It's definitely not where it lives that's for sure.

Considering that this weekend also states "showers" (regular occurence of late) ... I'm at my wits end trying to find the blardy thing ... umbrellas' just aren't the same  :'(

I have the one that I reckon so many people have.  I look everywhere for my glasses, search the car, search the house, and these days the wife simply says "Check on top of your head", and 99% of the time they are on top of my head.  Worst thing is, last time I checked my head first, nothing there, so starting searching.  They were in my pocket.  Have now invested in a band for the damned things.

Remember the key tag that you could buy and all you had to do is whistle and the key tag would make a noise. Well have a look on ebay and you can buy the latest in finding wallets and keys etc. :police:

Fish hook, hooked it through my pocket while I was fixing up the float, etc, forgot where the hook was, checked pockets, searched the ground between the tackle box and the rod, sat down...  :'( :-[

As well as the usual; pens behind ear, glasses on top of head (haven't gotten to the "while wearing" point yet), phone/keys in pocket/backpack.

Every time I misplace something at home swmbo will ask "where did you leave it/them", perhaps the dumbest question of all time, if I knew where it was I wouldn't waste time looking for it.

LOL - I bet the people travelling behind you know where they are

It always amazes me that you take an hour to do a 10 min job, because you spend 50 mins looking for things jou just had in your hand.

I spent weeks looking for a guide for the bench saw only to find it on the mud gaurd of the boat trailer!!!!

I have a problem with what I call the Knot Fairies .....

No matter how careful I roll up my extension lead , or hose , or even the leads on a multi meter , when I get them out again , they are all twisted into knots and one big mess .

Anyone else have them ?

Sure do  >:D

My Black of Camping is forgetting what I was doing.
This can either be setting up or packing up.
We all have an order in which we do things, and something distracts us, either the kids fighting or they have hurt themselves, a mate wanting a hand with something and you get distracted.
And I have NO Idea what I was up to. ???
And sure as, ya forget to put something in the tool box, switch the fridge over to 12V, tighten the Anti Sway slide.
Ya get down the road and it hits you like a frisbee.

Yeah don't you hate that. I'll be on my way to do something really important, get distracted, lose my routine then forget what I was doing.  Hmmm!!! I generally remember it later and think what a dill I was to forget it in the first place. What was that about a getting old.

The wife reminded me of another item that keeps disappearing in the "Black Hole".  Whether we are camping and washing clothes in a bucket, or using the machine at home, we always seem to lose a matching sock somewhere.

Now that is a whole new thread by itself. Where is the sock black hole and how does it work so well. I have a clothes basket at this very moment with 12 mateless socks. All the rest of the washing has been done, the baskets checked, sock drawers investigated. It is a thing which amazes me. And why do you only lose one of the two, why not both??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Why is is when you have lost something it is always the last place you look where you find it?

Come on D4D you know why.
Cause after you find it you stop looking therefore it is always in the last place you look.
In our house there are 3 types of looks.
A Mummy look
A Daddy look
and A Kids look.

Guess which one is the most effective,
Regards

In the garage or office - daddy look
In the toy room - a kid look

Nah. Mummy look will find it in the most hidden places
Daddy look will find if it is right in front of me when I open the cupboard or drawer
Kid look will find it if it flys across the room and hits them in the head.

We lost our 12v camping shower about 2 years ago, so we discovered on our next camping trip (luckily only a 2 nighter)......replaced it after looking everywhere and decided we must of left it at the previous free camp .......we found it about 4 months ago  ::) all we can guess is it must of been in a box we dont normally carry that we had with us when we lost it.

We regularly temporarily loose the keys and phone in the pocket of the tent on the camper, we luckily haven't packed it up fully yet with them in there - but it WILL happen one day.

Ohh! I think I must be the biggest "looser"
At the time I was'nt old either like I am now.
But when my triplet daughters were babies we owned a short wheel base Nissan which meant climbing thru the back to place all the baby capsules if I needed to go shopping (live remote)
Long story short - Yes! I had to return back to the house cause I had left one of my bundles of joy sitting in her capsule on the kitchen table.
I was never any good at counting   ;D

While in Port Augusta Caravan park a fellow traveller who seemed to pop up at the same parks as us, packed up and left.

5 minutes later he was back????

Seems he got to the servo and couldn't find his wallet???    He came back and opened his camper to get them out of the bed side pocket.   Then he was happy and off again..

It's a blue Rain Bird rain coat.  It's definitely not where it lives that's for sure.

Okay everyone.  STOP LOOKING!  It was in the last place I looked for it ... well actually I wasn't looking for it ... I'd just assumed it had grown upset with me for some reason and my BF found it at the end of our hard floor carpet holding facility.  Considering it's dark blue and the end of that area is shady dark ... it really is a wonder he noticed it.  Seems we've been taking it with us every trip  ???

Oh and BTW ... weekend away was perfectly fine but windy ... so I didn't need it anyway.
