I saw a similar show a few weeks ago, on free to air, not shure which channel (63,55,80??)
They were taking this hilux thru some pretty inhospitible country somewhere in Peru or Chile, driving to some capital city that never happened and was now just an overgrown jungle.
Meant to follow it up at the time.
Anyone else see it on free to air & was it the same show?

Nah this show is a modified Tundra being driven across Antartica to the South Pole

Was quite funny as well.
It was on SBS

I watched the first two episodes, and from that limited viewing, there appear to be some unpleasant and super(over) confidant international drivers on the show, unless it's all just a put on for the camera's.
I don't drive trucks, but have a healthy respect for the drivers, but the thought that there are many truckies on the road carrying on like the Seppo's and poms on this show is getting me worried.
On a different note, the trucks don't appear to have seat belts, or if they do, the drivers don't wear them.
Is this normal for trucks in Australia?
Cheers.

Worlds Toughest Drive is the Greensborough Highway/Rosanna Road. Those roads will test anyone!

You'd think they'd police that road heavily :)

I will remind you of that, Wayne, when I show you a couple of "roads" around here.

So they made it to the south pole in the end, you'd be spewing if you were the camera guy who pulled out and went home...
