Title: Wet and Forget
Post by: lilstookie on June 15, 2012, 10:25:42 AM
We have had a few issues in Cairns with mould on the canvas.
Its easy to clean off once it appears and we have have used Oil of cloves to try to stop it fro returning.

I thought I would email the manufacturer and ask for some advice.
They recommended WET AND FORGET which is a mould cleaner for roofs, concrete and everything inbetween.

Looking at their website they say its safe for canvas but im not so sure.
Due to the fact we are living in the tent on our big lap Im reluctant to use something that may not be safe to be around.
We have 2 young kids and are a bit unsure as to its safety.
They say its safe but you really got to ask yourself when kids are involved.

Has anyone used this ?
How where the results ?

Cheers

Stookie

You wouldnt believe it but I just finished (literally) spraying our retaining wall and stairs with it,just cleaned out the sprayer in fact. Have used it before and it works fine on sandstone walls and stairs but haven't used it on canvas...Although it is recommended to use on canvas.

I buy it from here.... http://www.wetandforget.com.au (http://www.wetandforget.com.au) I buy the twin pack and go halves with the father in law...

Stookie, you could try it on the annex, so not a critical problem if there is leakage.

It works REALLY well.

It kills the mould AND the waterproofing.................

But reproofing is very easy. I used Bradproof.

Geoff

We used it on our Cape York Camper when we had it.
As Geoff said it works really well but you will have to rewaterproof it.
