I've plugged the fridge in all arv to cool it down and had it at 5 which is the coldest setting, but I've stocked it up now as we are leaving in the morning, it's cold so I turned it down to 3.5 cause I don't want the fruit to freeze, do you think that's about right? I've got meat in the freezer part so I still want that to stay frozen but I just don't want veggies & fruit to freeze in the fridge part. Last time I left it on 5 and our eggs froze. What do you set yours to?

hey guys.
in the warmer months ours is usually up around 6 or 7 and in the cooler months down around 3 or 4.
-
Thanks navara04 :) ours only has numbers 1-5 so I would assume keeping it at 3.5 would be similar to what you have yours set to? It's pretty cold here so there's not much worry about it getting hot I wouldn't think

oh ok so yours is the new jayco and hence the different numbers. its really a matter of trial & error with your question i have learned. maybe put the stuff that doesnt require to get really cold to either a higher shelf in the fridge or on the door ( the door will be the warmest part inside the fridge)

Thanks yep I did that, put all fruit in door. Thanks :)

Also another probably stupid question but can I completely wind down the CT with the fridge plugged in to 240v & then just unplug it and drive off or should I leave ie open and then either turn fridge off or switch it to the car charger setting? We don't have far to travel and it's cool so I'm not too worried about the fridge getting hot on the way so I don't mind if it's not running off the car whilst traveling but does it matter if it's still on the 240v setting whilst driving? And can CT be fully closed up when it's plugged in to 240v?
