Hi All!
I have been a serial lurker here for a couple of years now. (I think it is now a couple of years - sad, is it not!). I like the veil of secrecy??
I must give a very deep and sincere thanks to this forum for the information and technical asistance it has given our family in preparing our current camping arrangements.
During that time I have had much pleasure in reading the discourse between the various members, the double entendre, the technophobic discussions (Hi electical section!) and the deciphering of various levels of functional dyslexia (Hi Speewa!). That being said, I am not much different to all of you guys and gals - although according to Mrs Deseng I am clearly on the asperger scale :cup:
Our family loves the outdoor life- hence our collective love of this forum! We are attemting to grab outdoor opportunities with both hands given Mrs Deseng, Miss Deseng and I are very, very time poor.
So why should I post now? Call it guilt, call it the need for other myswag companionship, call it the fact I feel absoutely crap and have had too many reds to quell the misery of onset severe man flu - I don't care! I have decided to come out of the closet and say hi to you all!!!
However, I still want to be a "Deseng" of mystery so I will say no more except "hello", see you around the traps and we will talk in more regular (but probably still occasional ) posts across a range of themes.
Regards to all,
Deseng.
PS I know :worthles: but sometimes mystery is more exciting!!

GG,
Not hiding just strategically camoflagued ;D.
Mrs, Miss and I are very serioulsy planningto be at the 2013 Myswag meet at Nymboida as it is not too far from where we live and the time matches.
Some may call it God's country but we live near God's waiting room.

Welcome out of the closet!

G'day & Welcome.
Might see you next year at the meet. Or not. I'll be mysterious about it too 8)

Hi Deseng,
Man of Mystery with Man Flu and a bottle of Red hey? I also find Speewa a bit of a Man of Mystery ... It's his charm! ;D
So glad you decided to ... well eventually ... speak up. What exactly does a Design Engineer do?

Kit_E,
Wow! Pinged it in one! I should have been more devious with the tag.
When someone asked what Deseng meant I was going to reply "that is the sound my head makes when Mrs... connects with the frying pan" but you are too good with the deciphering. Actually I have so many logins, passwords and secret computer handshakes that old "Deseng" (which I have had since mmmm '97) was just too easy to use as it did't tax the decaying grey(er) matter.
Deseng
PS. What does a design engineer do - design of course ;D

Hello Kit_E,
Apart from being a design engineer, he has obviously joined this forum to beguile us using the eloquence of his vocabulary.

Marschy,
I would never presuppose my vocabulary was the epitome of vernacular eloquence. In fact such assertion could only be described as a fantastic comfabulation.
Deseng
P.S
I actually ain't that good ( it takes a while with the dictionary)- but I do love English for what it is. A beautiful language which has borrowed from all over the worlds's languages and consequently a language for all (including Speewa). Once worked with a bloke who studied 10 words from the dictionary each day and then used them in his speech - couldn't understand a word he said but he had the best vocabulary I ever heard! - he is now a professor in he US!
-
Welcome Deseng and I'm glad I'm not the only one with man flu. I just can't drink red. LOL

Okay, so what do YOU design? Toilet blocks, tissue boxes, tarp mahals?
Kit_e
P.S. I'm loving the English eloquence btw. My favourite word is Ornithorhynchus ... like it's name sake ... made up of parts of everything else.
-
I'd like to think of myself as ubiquitous, but the wife says one of me is enough.
-
Port Macquarie - interesting place.
But the center of the universe is better.

I see you are from Qld and as such would know as would as every Qld state primary school student an Ornithorhynchus is a platypus and how to spell it in time for the annual visit of the "School Inspector" from Brisbane  .

Crikey, I think Deseng has fitted in just fine.
A little bit of insanity can be made to go a loooooong way around here. ;D
Welcome to the Mad House, Hotel California (already mentioned) is a close second to this place.
Cheers

Drawing succour from the Goldilocks Principle:-
Port Macquarie is waaay tooo cold,
Hervey Bay is waaay too hot,
But here in .......... its juuust right! ;D

Hi Barrabart,
Unfortunatley I am not the bloke who lives in Cleverdick Street, Whatawanker Street or Smartarseville either. As for Mount Boysbum please do not give out the GPS position as you never know what lowlife may be trolling the website.
Deseng
PS. Nice to "talk" to you as I have enjoyed reading to your posts and "listening" to your adventures over the last couple of years - your story and that of many others has only encouraged our small family to enjoy what this (myswag) commmunity and our country has to offer.
-
Is there a Popes Dam near CleverDick Street? >:D

Kit_e
Kit_e,
No Popes Dam near here (or Cleverdick Street and Whatawanker Street either - well at least not that I know of).
As for what I have designed - if you live in any subdivisions out Ipswich way, buildings down to Kempsey or civil infrastructure in between or out to Chinchilla all I can say is "I didn't do it!" (maybe?).
Deseng
PS Please don't post anymore as I am just checking if my PI is up to date?
