Title: Good price for a generator
Post by: Pipeliner on May 30, 2012, 03:29:51 PM
Jaycar Electronics has a  2kW pure sine wave 4-stroke invertor generator (http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=MG4502&form=CAT2&SUBCATID=1006#12) on offer for $899, which seems to me to be a pretty good price.  No idea what it's like, but Jaycar has always struck me as being a reliable company offering good customer service so it might be worth looking at if you are after a generator.  At 65dB it is nowhere near as quiet as a Honda or Yamaha, but you have to sacrifice something for a good price!

As it would seem to produce 65dBa max it would seem to be compliant with current QNPS regs as a low noise output generator.

(ie, 65dBa or less at 7 metres distant from the unit).
