Title: Where to go in July school holiday in WA where it isn't too cold
Post by: WilSurf on May 29, 2012, 10:27:01 AM: I want to go away in the last week of July school holiday, but my wife doesn't want to be too cold.
Plan is to take leave from 13/07 till 22/07 so only 10 days.

Was thinking of Mullewa but that is still cold, so maybe Karijini.
But as it is school holidays it might be too busy.
Then going east?
All suggestions are welcome.

As well as being at MOA, i'm also going to be in the Kennedy Ranges over the hols. obviously wife-less, as there's nowhere to plug in a hairdrier

This time of year the easterlies blow like buggery, you'll get an ice cold breeze straight off the desert except for when Perth is experiencing a storm - then it's beautiful. Anything North of the 26 needs to be close to the coast to avoid the really cold nights.

My wife don't want to go camping this time.
She wants to go to a hotel, sits at the pool with a cocktail........ but not to Bali.

We have a pool in our backyard and a bottle of rum. :-)
No, that isn't want she wanted.

How is Darwin?
Any suggestions for a couple of days?

Good spot there!

We spent a full month travelling the bottom of WA in July. It's not to bad! But we camp all year in Vic so the cold isn't a problem!

Karijini in the school hols will be packed.

Darwin is good in July
