I have found this Carbon Monoxide Gas Monitor/Sensor/Alarm on ebay, Has anyone bought one ?? if so what do you think of it??

I like this sensor because of the LED readout to show the gas danger level.
With the advent of cooler weather, heating in the camper is needed for us QLD types not us to cold weather.
I have used my COLEMAN-Procat™ Portable Catalytic Heater in the annex with several smallish openings to allow fresh air flow into the annex and and exit.

As this heater uses a Flameless, whisper quiet heater utilising platinum catalytic technology, there is a lower bad gas output, than normal flame heaters.
Having a sensor's LED display showing the level of carbon monoxide the unit is sensing would be a much safer way to use this heater.

I have a CO detector installed in my rental property, I spent a lot of time researching and trying to find specs wrt such detectors. There appears no mandated specifications exist in Australia relating to CO detectors used in domestic installations, I finally purchased one thru a local plumbing supplies around the $100.00 mark. From memory it is set to activate at 50ppm of CO.
I was going to install one in our C.T. as we sometimes use a small portable gas heater as a prewarmer and turn it off before retiring but am awaiting possible rules and regs that may eventuate from a bill that was introduced by the previous Government into Victorian Parliament dealing with the possible introduction of such detectors in residences, its all gone quiet and a decision looks like being a long way off. Think I`ll just install it anyway.
