We'll prolly be there. Which stand will you be on? or will you just be hanging round in general?
Cheers

This one would be my guess http://www.gtcampers.com.au/ (http://www.gtcampers.com.au/) , right Glen? ;D
-
Ha ha Hoyks yes that looks like me :)
Not sure of my site number at the show but I'll be there somewhere!
-
Here's the show link http://www.maitlandhuntervalley.com.au/Events/Hunter-Valley-Caravan--Camping-4WD-Fish--Boat-Show.aspx (http://www.maitlandhuntervalley.com.au/Events/Hunter-Valley-Caravan--Camping-4WD-Fish--Boat-Show.aspx)
We'll be going on Sunday to hopefully pick up a few last minute things before our Cape trip.
DH has also been asked to put our Land Rover Defender 110 on the O'Neills tyres stand for the day, so drop in and say Hi if you happen to be in the area.
Cheers

I noticed they are now charging to get in
I have traveled up a few times and bought quite a few bits and bobs
But $30.00 plus fuel from Sydney makes it hard to justify
I go to the one in Sydney and am starting to think after paying to get in it may not be worth it anymore
Real shame I really enjoy these shows and the exhibitors who are paying for the stands are being hard done by as the money people have in their pockets that should go to them is going on the gate

100% agree, I used to go to all of the shows within a few hundred k's of home, but it's getting down to the Penrith camping show only now but i guess that free's up more weekends for camping

... let's do a deal! Which one do you want - a trailer or a Hilux?!?
-
We are after a hard floor camper

We are after a hard floor camper
There is one for sale on here ...................looks good to, maybe check it out ?
-
I gather you are talking about the Cub Brumby.
Then yes i have had a look and it is exactly what we are looking at buying but for the little extra i will buy a brand new one.
-
Yes, that the one..............maybe the seller would be open to offers ??? Nothing to lose in making an offer ?
It is like ours only 4 years newer and so much nicer..............we love our Cub Kamparoo Brumby 2007...paid $17000. last year for it.
2 x batteries and 130 solar panel too. and additional front box.
-
Will see what sort of a deal i can get on the weekend as we are after a few options as well.
-
So many great campers out there....................GOOD LUCK. Have fun.
-
I didnt realize it was on, also didnt realize family friends were exhibiting there.
-
We are going tomorrow we are after a new camper selling our swan and hoping to get a great 4wd camper
-
Hopefully it won't be as windy as yesterday - looks like being a nice day :)
-
Since I have spent so much cash on a new 4wd and our second hand lifestyle over the last 6 months, wifey has banned me from going :)
-
Went up to the show on Saturday,Didn't say hi Geetee as you were busy at the time we went past, was blowing a gale. Only bought a couple of small things to make our next trip easier, the wife and I were looking around to get an idea of the next camper to start saving for in the 3-5 year plan , we were looking at hardfloors and conqueror style campers but the Camel Safari has really caught our eye, not a layout we had considered but definatly now top of our list so much so we have already started talking mods. ;D
-
I went Sat as well, all the camper places were either flat out or in one case not interested ( we and 3 or 4 other people were there, they were more interested in their phones). Geetee was flat out so I left him alone. I didn't spend anything there as I'd already broken the bank at TJM earlier.

Hey thanks to you all for dropping by my site ;D and sorry if I was a bit busy showing people around

I think you would be more sorry if you weren't busy. We went up to a camping show at Nambour and it was raining. Poor exhibitors had everything set up and about 200 people came through on the day we were there. They spent more time mopping up the mud in the vans than selling stuff. Hardly worth the effort for them :'(.

It was good to see your campers. Great idea, well executed, although not practical in my situation.
I'd rather you were busy at the show than standing around talking to Myswaggers, that's what campfires are for.

hey glad you like what I'm doing with the Hilux and trailers - maybe I should have a campfire at my site next year :)
