Post by: davo69 and the Nurse on May 06, 2012, 01:41:04 PM
Found this article on the Careflight Qld's website under their Autumn Pulse newletter.
I hope this wasn't a Swagger who was injured attempting to cut into a gas bottle.

He is a lucky boy, not to be 6 feet under.  Hope he recovers soon enough.

“I made sure it was all safe and the valve was open before I cut into it. Little did I know the gas bottle was from the tip and must have been faulty.”

If that is how he cut into the first he made before this then it is amazing he didn't kill himself then. If you think that you make the bottle safe to cut into by just opening the vale then you shouldn't even be thinking about doing this. He is one lucky man that there are other people willing to do a sometimes thankless job saving idiots from themselves.
