Just wondering what you could put on top and under the soft floor of the camper for insulation, heading to the mountains next month and thought it would be a good idea. 8)

Hi CoC,
When we had our TrakShak, we used shade cloth under the camper floor, and a square of marine carpet on top.
They were more to protect the camper floor, but the marine carpet also added some insulation.
The carpet folded up and packed inside the camper. The floor was like new when we sold the camper.
May be an option..........
Cheers,
Geoff

I use air cell under the soft floor, insulates and protects the underside of the vinyl flooring. Lay it on top of the tent under the travel cover while travelling.

I have a large piece of marine carpet cut to size for under the soft floor. Packs up on top of the tent when travelling.
Works great.

We have a large mat that sits on top of the soft floor
Its like a blanket on one side and silver backet on the other, very similar to those Picnic blankets you could get, the silver side is for insulation, measures about 2.4X2.4. Think we got it through Rays Outdoors

Thanks for your thoughts guy,s
Carl, I was at Rays last week end and looked at those matts and thought they would be good, I will now go and get one.
I will also check out the option of air cell or marine carpet as GG & Noel suggested to protect the underside of the vinyl flooring.
Cheers

Just one thing with the marine carpet, it can take a little bit longer to dry completely, nothing a little time in the sun when you get home won't fix. Mine came with the camper when I bought it 2nd hand & looks like it is a few yrs old but still does the trick. I think with a bit of shade cloth as well it would be a good combination to guard against stick & stone penetration.

Thanks Noel I will take that on board, but its alright for you lucky buggers that live in the sunshine state, we don't get to see the sun in the Alpine area where I come from in winter.
Guess every thing else is damp why not the carpet.

We love the liquid sunshine up here

Hi there - wondering where you sourced this product?
Was there a minimum purchase amount?
Thanks,
Chris
