Going on the other thread " where to install a UHF radio" I looked at gme tx3100 on prestige communications website and the unit is $256.00 for the radio and as a package with an antenna $315.00.
Now on the website it says bonus antenna on the box but it seems you pay extra for the bonus. Now working for many years in retail a "bonus" is classified as free hence the word bonus.
I have emailed them and waiting for a response.
Please I am not bagging the company as I have bought things from them before and happy with their sevice and at another retailer in Cairns they are doing the same but more expensive.
Am I reading this wrong !!!

GME do bonus packs where the antenna is free or cheaper, my 3440 it was free, the 3100 kits we bought recently it was extra ($20 I think).

How much is the aerial on its own normally? If its say $60 and with the pack you're only paying an extra $59 then that's a bonus. Bonus doesn't necessarily mean free, Mark. (T-I-C)
You, Mr Cairns Real Estate Pin Up Boy 1996 should know that as well as anyone!

I just pulled off the bonus antenna... It is in great condition. $30?
Also, make sure that you buy a spring for under the base.

I don't believe so.
A bonus isn't something that is requires an additional payment.
If the box advises a "bonus antenna" it tells me that you get an antenna as a "bonus" ie for nothing.

I believe the word "bonus" means something extra at no extra cost
