Trully amazing voice...incredible feeling.......
And im not biased cause she is a local either
-
Yeah it was a pretty amazing performance, I hope she's not a one trick pony...
-
It was truly amazing
-
Certainly caught our attention. Just the first few bars was enough, then she carried it through.
Listened to a couple of her songs on her web site and they were just OK. Maybe starting to 'bloom'.
Sure has talent, as do the others that were featured.
-
Truly amazing voice
Greg

Delta caught my attention!

Delta caught my attention!
x 2.. the rest of the show was boring, but I guess it is not my thing.... thankgod for the remote.....
-
Another GREAT performance by a future star
The Voice Australia: Rachael Leahcar sings La Vie En Rose (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVHl3j31pUA#ws)
-
I'm so glad she picked Delta - they should make a good team.
We have some pretty talented Aussies........
-
Not watching The Voice tonight?
You are missing some great performances. Forget the build up and drama etc, the performances are brilliant.
-
Watching it and loving it..

Me too

Yes it's great to see a show that is about the fantastic talent not the hosts ego's.
They give honest advice ...
Mark
-
I think most of the paired up performers sounded excellent as a duet
If they didn't make it thru they could do some great stuff....
Didn't like that dude chris .... Reckon he was a bit cocky
-
Agree, I think he was trying to hard which made him sound stupid. I also think out of one of Joel's battles where the girl won, um I think her names Fatai? I think the guy should have won, can't remember his name.
-
I have a man crush on Seal

Mitchell Thompson.
Judges must be looking at different things. I think someone said she lived the song or similar. Sounded nervous to me.

Delta caught my attention!
SHE HAS BEEN SMOKIN........... 8)

What a classic.....
Tis a good family show though - wish I could sing.

I never watch these shows to much but this one got my attention,
as a bed and breakfast boarder for guide dogs in final training it would be a great privilage to host a dog that one day might go to Rachael

I'm over all these reality tv shows. I would throw one into Delta though if she asked me >:D
 BD

My wife loves Seal ?

In case you haven't seen what Mr Percival can do...
Black bird - Mr. Percival (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3T-AgP0Ad_g#)
Mr Percival sings Electric Avenue 25.Mar.2011 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwDWuMnOltk#)
-
I'm over all these reality tv shows.
x every number ever written lined up together.
-
It will be hard on those that don't win this. Some great voices and singers.
Good nights entertainment.
-
My vote comes down to .... And In no particular order...
Rachael..Karise or fatal
-
I hope Karise wins, Rachel has such an amazing voice, but I'd like to see her do something different. Fatai doesn't float my boat
-
Fatai has a fantastic voice, but it is a voice that is not unique. You could probably rattle off a dozen artists with similar quality voices ,and I mean excellent quality as I think she is excellent. However, Karise Eden's voice has mojo, soul and one who's quality we only see once a decade if at all.

Pretty much sums up how I think.....
I remember eating dinner when karise began her first song and from the moment those first notes where sang I was gobsmacked.... Then to see her aunt and uncle who look after her in such an emotional state..... I wanted her to win
A local girl to boot :)

Yeah that's what i think too, like she's good but there are heaps like her and they all sound the same.
-
Good to see you can have a successful program like this without an evil judge. And it is really pleasing to see the artist and coach sing songs of their choice rather than the theme nights Idol had that made many sound awful. It provides for a great night of real entertainment.
-
Both girls are brilliant singers but Karise definitely has the edge. She has a unique voice, somewhat like Joss Stone.
-
I reckon Karise has just won the Voice with her rendition of Hallelujah. Nine MSN views of her performance is about 3 to 1 compared to the other competitors. I love her voice, and dare I say it, she could just be the next 'Mrs Marschy'.
Footnote: The current Mrs Marschy just reminded me I can't afford a new Mrs Marshy as I haven't finished paying for the old one.
-
Karise for me. That voice sends shivers down my spine. Her rendition of Back to Black in the battle rounds was soooooooooo cool (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-cool14.gif) (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php), and Hallelujah last night just blew me away.
-
Go Karise!
-
I would throw one into Delta though if she asked me >:D
 BD
I have, just she wasn't there...
Sorry I'm going to hell for that one. >:D
-
Go Karise!
Yep...She has my vote.....i downloaded Hallelujah from i tunes...Its the complete song and it sounds soooo much better...probably "tweaked"by the sound engineers...but yeah...an awesome rendition
-
As much as I want Darren to win, based on tonight's performances I think it is between Sarah and Karise.
-
That Karise chick is good.
-
That Karise chick is good.
X 55. She has the number 1 and 2 hit on itunes at the moment. Imagine her getting stuck into some Led Zepplin classics!
-
Karise = amazing
-
Karise all the way. What a voice :cup:
-
Karise has 4 songs in the iTunes top 10. If she doesn't win, there is something dodgy goin' on.
-
While her voice is great can't see a music label getting behind her and marketing her.
The blind girl has novelty factor and the mums will like her but again not a huge commercial market I think.
Darren will do alright out of this, won't win but will get lots of work.
The red head will win, get a fast tracked album done which will do alright and then disappear
-

Glass half full then?
-
Makes you wonder why she is appealing to the baby boomers and gen y more than gen x. My 24 yo son who tends to do a lot of thinking below the waist wants Sarah De Boner (as my son calls her) to win as does my 13 yo daughter.
Is this an indication of her style appealing to the older generations because of similarities to singers of old, like Janis Joplin, or simply because she is bloody excellent and our hormones don't influence our decisions as much as gen x?
Am I a victim of my past, or am I just getting old?
-
Am I a victim of my past, or am I just getting old?
If your like me both ;D
-
The problem comes down to the voting being done in a manner that is purely biased towards 16 year old girls voting via social media. Talent at this stage is a given, popularity is only related to those who vote, not those who would buy the albums
-

Crap...because she isnt the prettiest out there.....???
Have a look at Casey Chambers...very succesful country singer and in my opiniom....not very attractive at all.....
Beth Ditto also comes to mind....the lead singer from "Gossip"... have u seen her........
Any way.... i have enjoyed the show...some great talent and good songs

This is true, unfortunately. However, I think even if Karise doesn't win (which IMO would be unlikely), she would go on to have a more successful career than the others. She appeals to a much wider range of people. Look at those of us commenting here.....can't vouch for the rest of you, but I ain't no 16 year old girl ;D ;D ;D I do own one though, and she actually voted for Karise (she must have inherited her fathers taste in music!!)
-
thank **** its nearly over.
but then after that, I suppose its big brother or some other simulated reality rubbish.

Was referring to her style of music, she isn't going to sing pop.
I also think she will make a career out of this, just not as the winner of The Voice

totally agree, the tv execs have no idea.. most people hate this rubbish.....

Just as well the govt. still funds the ABC for you :)
-
While i normally can't stand Reality TV Shows i must admit i have enjoyed The Voice and have been amazed at the quality of talant that we have out there. To me they are all winners regardless of who goes to the top tonight and i'm sure many of the contestants will get a call from a talent scout sometime in the near future. :cup:
-

No mate, I have Foxtel..... heaps of choice... especially the AFL channel.... Just cant stand the crap they shove down our throats on free to air...
-

I'm hearing ya brother, these reality tv shows are doing my head in ???
-
That Karise has a great voice.
This show craps on those like Idol and X Factor, purely for the talent.
I can't stand most reality shows but this one caught my attention and managed to keep it.
-
I HATE them with a passion that makes SBS and the ABC truely enjoyable. Last night through some show about dancing celebreties, I watched a fantastic doco on bugs, followed by another on octopus and squid. Fantastic!
If I wanted to watch people singing, I'd watch that show on Saturday AM's, where I hear they are also half naked. If I wanted to see people getting arrested or interrogated, I'd've become a cop or a lawyer or a judge. If I wanted to see people dancing, I would join a class. Likewise building reno's, cooking, shopping,
If I wanted to see half the crap they show on TV, I probably wouldn't enjoy camping so much! :cup:
I'm content to come here to MySwag and live vicariously through you guys for the best bits of these shows. Thank goodness you aren't showing shorts of people dancing or doing reno's or I'd have to be just a wee bit worried. ;D Yep the girl can sing! If she's good enough to make it, then she won't need "votes" ... she'll need a record deal.

I'm not a fan of the reality shows, but my wife is so I see them as I sit on the swag.
Karise is phenomenal. She reaches out of the TV with that voice.
-
Like it hate it we are all talking about.
-
Glad I was proved wrong by the voting public. Let's hope they do something great with her
If you hate the show do much why would you then open a thread about it to comment?
-
:cup: Yay Karise :cup:
-
Like the show or not we have some of the best singers in the world GO Karise :cup:
-
There were many great performances during the show.
I felt Karise's 'encore' was the best performance of the whole show. Brilliant.
I'm not a fan of these shows, but we both loved The Voice. Entertainment plus.
-
Like many others i'm not normally a fan of these shows but i have sat and watched from the start with my daughter and we both enjoyed it very much.
I liked Karise from the start, daughter preferred sarah so she wasn't happy with the result.
The second series has a lot to do.
-
Interesting how people and the media confuse a talent competition with reality shows. The Voice is the former, not the latter. The Great Race is a reality show. The only talent on there is, well, there is none. See the difference?
Very pleased with Karises victory. I've never seen anyone with so much talent, who is so modest and unassuming.
-

The X Factor is starting soon and I think its going to be pretty lame after The Voice and the Judges on X Factor leave a lot to be desired, very hohum :-[ :-[ :-[
-
I'm hearing ya brother, these reality tv shows are doing my head in ???

... and they are hardly talent shows when people SMS to win... they are popularity contests.

They better stop now.
The second serie can't never beat the first.
It was the same with Big Brother and all other shows. The first is always the best.

The downside of you choice, Lost, is that you have to get close enough to hear them. My choice would be either
(http://www.inetres.com/gp/military/infantry/rifle/M107/M107_0.jpg)
or
(http://www.airforce-technology.com/contractor_images/honeywell_lmb/5-tiger.jpg)
-
Or turn the TV off, read a book etc

Well,
Have to say that I was inspired by some of the talent that appeareds from the Voice.
Go Karise, just love her style as well as the cute red head.
I for one am pretty glad that the younger (and middle ) generations have broadened their tastes in music from crap to a wide range of blues, rock and sole inspired new music. Bloody good on them, I don't feel like such an old fart, now I can go to blues music and there are young people (like me) there too.
-
And here I was thinking of Johnny Farnham :-[

Lol when The Voice was being advertised on tv before it started, my MIL also thought it was a show about Johnny Farnham, she got all excited cause she loves him :D

Popularity competition or not, it is one I prefer to participate in rather than the popularity competition that we are forced to participate in every 3 years to vote in a bunch of self server knuckleheads, i.e. pollies.
