Title: Moving to the Sunshine Coast
Post by: Humbolt on April 15, 2012, 05:02:22 PM
So after spending most of lives in Brisbane, we are going for the seachange everyone raves about.
It is not far up the road but it is a real change for us!!

Looking around the house for things to do as the removals company come in tomorrow, the time has come to dismantle the computer.
I was offered a new job and took it, couldn't be happier!!
The house sold in record time for more than we expected (sold within two hours of first open home).
We have found a rental for the time being while we look around for a place to buy.
Don't have schools for the tin lids yet but this will come.
It has all fallen into place rather nicely.

So the next time I login to MySwag, I will be 5 mins from pristine beaches, beautiful rivers and will slowly becoming accustomed to a slower more relaxed life :)
Bring it on i say!!!

Mate all the best. It's great when all the stars align and everything works out perfect.

Best of luck, but the way the Sunshine Coast is going it will feel like Brisbane very soon.  :D    To us it already does.

Best of luck guys. We made the sea change 3 years ago, Blue Mountains to Northern NSW, near the beach.

"to a slower more relaxed life"

It's definately slower. I think most of the coast is still living in the 50's. Around noon Friday it stops, restarts some time Monday, possibly Tuesday. Then again if the surf is big........

We did the same a few years ago. Great place for the kids to grow up.

Shane.
