There are two parts to us. He and She. He makes everything and breaks everything. She looks at everything and just shakes her head.
Owners of a gorgeous girl, a 03 GU III Patrol. Looking for another offspring, being a CT. Heading towards the Lifestyle range after about 6 months of researching and looking at ONLY locally made ones.
Love our 4wding and camping, but time to invest in something else. I, being the She side of things, cant pack up the camp site on a Sunday morning when the He variety of us is hung over. So I caved in to his hints and said OK lets buy one. I, also being the Minister of War and Finance, said we had a budget of around $8k, as it was our first camper. Double and I am happier with the quality and sturdyness.
So here we are in downtown Moron .. err Morayfield wasting away until we decide, order and purchase. hoping that will be within the next week. Until then, it will be the tent. Anyway, we are from Morayfield, north side of Brissy (for those on the south side who have no idea), try to get out as often as possible with work and weather allow.
No wonder I am not making sense to myself. It is 11.00 pm. Gawd. Not sitting here a minute longer.
Cheers

Welcome Cam & Cam, great tug you have there, I've looked at the Lifestyle ones too, have a good look around, there are so many manufacturers to choose from, hire a couple of different ones first to give yourself an idea of what you might want and need.

waves to the Cam's .... i am an alcoholic too ... well i must be .....cause i don't drink beer, wine, champagne, tea or coffee...just spirits and Milo's (not together unless there is cream, baileys, honey and some sort of "nut liqueur" blended on ice ;D )
my hubby is on here also "barrabart" and we are about to pick up our first CT too. Our budget kept stretching while we were just talking about it, so being from the same Department as you ... i got the $$$ all aproved ..and said ..so this is it fella, do it now or forever hold your peace, cause this is the last of the lolly for a while. .... i am very excited to be coming to brissy next week to pick it up then doing the drive home to cairns to test it out .....(mind you if my 17y.o. son keeps driving me mental >:( ... it could just be a boys roadie and i will enjoy peace and stillness )...anyhooo good luck with it all and i hope you nab a bargin ...

Thanks all for your replies. We spent 5 hours at the 4x4 and Tinnie & Tackle Show and it was a close contest between Lifestyle and Customline.
Customline got over the line and deposit paid today. Save a few dollars and had some other things thrown in as well. BEst thing is, 4 week turn around time. Of course finance is playing a part in this so maybe 5 weeks till completion. Unlikely to have it before the 4x4 Corroboree but all is good. We still have the tent. The hardest part for me was deciding on what options to have for the kitchen. Get the best seller which is a lil more than basic and I can modify it later on.
Thank god that is all sorted. Now I can get on with the houseowrk! HA!
Cheers

Hi Cam x 2
I am also fairly new to this site, and I have found it extraordinary, and the people always friendly, even a few fellow walking kegs.
Look forward to seeing some flicks of your CT when you eventually grab it.

Thanaks for the replies everyone :D Has been a bit since I was within these walls thanks to, well thanks to life in general. Man it shytes me that it takes over from what I love to do .. nothing or lots LOL.
Anyways, we have taken delivery of our CT, named her Shadow as she follws us. So we have a daughter. Hmm we are a wierd pair at times. Cars, bikes CT's, cat and multiple fish. All but one are our gurls. Never knew I had so many daughters. Oh well ..
So we have the CT now and we have not really managed to get any time with her, but this weekend I think we will find some time to at least open her up. Got a few overnight trips locally to do just to say 'sod off big smoke' and give them the bird as we are driving off with dust and stones kicking up behind us. !!!! YESS !! Cant wait.
So where is the beer, kettle and BBQ in this place?? I cant find it yet.
Cheers
