They could have done the brake pads while they were at it though ;D

Hi,
OK, what was done to the diff to enable that?
I'm foxed!
cheers

That must be the longest straightest one way road in the world!!

Hi Wortho
That looked really good, but when transferred to Nero 11 (thanks to my daughter) and played very slow, one thing becomes obvious, the wheels "on the road" are not turning. My daughter reckons it can be done by superimposing with a blue screen or something, the same as they do in many movies or whatever. The girl is into photography and videoing in a big way and says there are all sorts of tricks that can be used.

I,m with you it looks fake the background behind the car is moving slower than the car . And when they move around on the car it does not move at all,
But still funny ,I think I will stick to my jack LOL :D
Jet

I think it's real because the towel on the bloke's head is flapping

Skip to about 1/2 way through, & the rear wheel (on the ground) is turning!
-
Also the dust flies up at 49sec and 54sec as he moves across the road to avoid the water.

And the wheels leave water marks on the road as it leaves the wet patch

The obvious question is why?
but in reflection Why Not!!
Crazy Arabs :D

Hi,
but how?
How does the drive get to the ground with a wheel in the air?
The diff must have been modified is the only answer I can think of.
cheers

I saw this the other night and wondered how could it still have drive and one wheel in the air not turning, not hard really, all you need is some (brake) line lockers on the wheels that are on the ground, leave the front hubs unlocked, and in 2WD, once up on two wheels, gently increase pressure on brake pedal, the wheels in the air will be held by the brakes, wheels on the ground unaffected.
The diff?, it gets a bit tricky for the driver here, what happens is the turning wheel will double its speed as the braked wheel stops, that's because all the drive goes thru the planetary gears and . . . . . .well . . . . . . .it just doubles its speed, (too hard to explain) it JUST DOES.
So, I think the bar has been set, i just can't wait till Easter to see who tries to find some mates who will attempt this..

I remember coming up to a Round about when I lived in Qatar and a car went screaming through on 2 wheels... having said that there are more deaths by car accidents than anything else other there.
Cars speeding through traffic with people hanging out of sun roofs, babies and small kids sitting on the dash....seat belts never worn.....guess its evolution
