Too wide for VIC tracks unless you like pin stripes.

I hear they're go ok on the Chapel St Track over the tram lines :)

H2 as D4 says, way too wide for normal 4wd use as they are really an army platform.

H3 (the small one sold here a while ago) are as capable as Prado and Pajero with better approach and departure angles.

Like all IFS vehicles traction control makes them far more capable than they used to be.  I imagine they would compete well against the FJ cruiser now.

Is this true that they completely stop in the middle of a creek?

Hummers are designed and made wide so they follow the tracks of US Army tanks like the M1 Abrams in warzones. Rational being if they follow tank tracks / ruts, they reduce the risk of hitting landmines.

Yes, sadly.

Look at any photo of a creek from the US, and there's at least one Hummer stopped in the dead centre of it. No one knows why.

Cheers!

Hummers are too wide and impractical, it would be an absolute mongrel with inner city underground parking.

Give me a decent tried and tested Toyota or Nissan anyway.

I would probably need a second mortgage just to cover the fuel bill.

PMSL. Probably says as much about the owners/drivers as the vehicle.

Don't tell anyone, but so would I. Despite getting such a bad rap, any of the Hummer models are actually brilliant offroad.

I'd take mine as a H3T please:

You know you can get that problem fixed now.
