Hi all,
I am looking at modding the gs to add a tap either on the draw bar or the rear bumper. Any one done this or has any one got any piccies of the factory mods done. Can't be that complicated can it?

I had a factory-mounted tap on the drawbar, but found it awkward to use, so I moved it to the cross-piece between the two gas bottles. The water line is plumbed in after the electric pump, but to use the tap when the camper is closed and the water pump turned off, I installed a switch wired in parallel with the original (internal) switch so that the pump could be turned on and the tap used.
The switch is a water-resistant one from a boating supply place, and it is mounted inside an old 35mm film case. It's visible behind the tap.

You've just added another mod to my mod list. What hose did they use?

I can't remember the brand (I had to buy some extra) but it is some type of 12mm push-on hose. I got it from a local caravan accessory place.
It was probably this one, http://caravansplus.com.au/catalog/index.php?cPath=994_33_405 (http://caravansplus.com.au/catalog/index.php?cPath=994_33_405)

Thx for that, I had thought of putting it after the pump, presumably it's plumbed in with a t-piece?
The list gets bigger, now to find the time!

I've partly installed a pump on my GS and ran a line of food grade hose via a T piece to the rear bumper.
The reason I went for the rear as with the stone guard, gas bottles etc at the front there is bugger all space for a good location on the drawbar. I have not mounted the tap yet but will post a pic when its done in a week or so.
I like the idea of the external pump override switch as mine is inside the camper. May put the switch out of sight though.
