For those looking to head out camping tomorrow in Victoria keep in mind that a day of Total Fire ban has been declared in the Wimmera, South East and Central regions of the state.

they also said on radio 20mins ago at the news, they were going to have a meeting at 5.30 to see if it will be widened areas.

stuck this on another thread also, easiest way to keep an eye on things....
best way, go outside have a look and smell the air!!! (no rubbernecking though)

and if your in a petrol vehicle dont go pulling off in the grass... driving through grass etc......
amazing how many people dont realise exhausts start fires... cheers

Just got back from camping this weekend. We were in the north east so we could have small campfire. We even had drizzle this morning!

Unlike you guys, we've had so much rain that if you poured petrol on the bush it wouldn't catch fire.....
Although, Sat was sunny, allowed me to catch up on outside painting....what a joy that is!
