Title: Anyone got 15" wheels on a Navara D22?
Post by: jnik on February 23, 2012, 04:14:42 PM
I know it's possible, but that the wheel offset selection is critical.

I understand the offset needs to be selected to allow the wheel to fit over the front discs.

If someone has 15" wheels on a Navara D22 I'd be interested in finding out what offset those wheels are.

I'm hoping to fit a set of 31x10.5R15 tyres, so bonus points for anyone who can tell me how to get them to fit within the flares without major scrubbing.

Thanks in advance,
Julian.

I do not have 15's on my Nav and do not know anyone who does.
Go over here and ask and I'm sure you will get an answer.

Oh ya,
Why do you want 15" rims?

 Hi Julian,
I fitted them on a WD21 Pathfinder (Terrano) with out any problems. The offset was 10mm positive.

Best place to ask would be on one of the Pathfinder or Navara Club forums

Hey if you want some manual AVM hubs to suit, I still have a new set that I never ended up fitting (if your Navara has 28 spline front axles).

Thanks guys,

The idea of using 15" rims actually came from navara.asia ... there are several posts that say it's possible as long as the right offset is selected, but I haven't been able to find any reference to what the right offset is and my two posts on the topic haven't attracted a reply.

Why? Wider range and lower cost tyres.

31x10.5R15 looks to be just right (slightly less than 50mm bigger than standard D22 DX tyres, and only slightly wider than the 265s that are standard on the D22 ST-R).

Thanks,
J.
