Well all. The wet seems the be finished here, no promises but all the signs are that it's over. The dragon flies are out, the Boabs are starting to loose their leaves and the Kapoc tress are all in seed :'( Still far to early to know if it's really gone but for the last few weeks it's been dry as. Hot (in the 40's) but very dry. So hopefully you guys will have a great year around this neck of the woods. The gorges etc will still have heaps of water so you won't notice much difference but the roads will be open earlier this year and should be in good nick rather than being washed out like last year
So start getting ready all. Were getting thirsty, time for you to all buy us a beer

Great news Steve.
The wet season's not started here yet - I'm starting to wonder if the monsoon is going to come down over us this year at all. By this time we should be getting solid overnight rain at the very least, but you'd really expect it to be raining throughout the day as well. Mid-Feb, it should be really into the swing of things. Apart from a few BIG storms a fortnight ago (right when we had planned to go camping), we've simply been dry and hot.
Good luck playing host to everyone!

Should have kept my mouth shut. Oh well, lets see how it goes over the next few weeks. The local word is that a big wet is still to come. Not sure how they ever work it out but ???
