Hey Swaggers,
In preperation for our round oz trip (dammit - still a year away!! >:( ).
Where does everyone store their vegies in a camper trailer?
Anyone have any pics?
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Welchy

In a breathable container with the veggies wrapped in news paper. Change the news paper every couple of days as it will be moist. Veggies will keep well this way......

There is a post on here somewhere about someone cutting breathing holes in an old esky and then using some mesh to stop bugs getting inside. That looked to be a great idea. If I can find it I will edit and stick a link here.

We carry ours in a vegie box from the fruit and veg shop, if it works for them it must be good. We did this for our 4 month trip. The boxes are tuff too and stacking on them wasn't a problem.
Cheers

That was me. Our veggie box (aka old esky) works really well. Any veg or fruit you want to keep fresh but not in the fridge, this is great. We have never had trouble with any pests since. Just don't keep your bananas in there as it will make everything else ripen too quickly. We have even kept eggs in there in cooler weather. In really warm weather, I put a freezer block in the camper freezer overnight then put the block in the veggie box for the day.
The thing I like the most is that the box itself is robust and insulated.
Pics are in the link above.
