The million dollar question!!
As mentioned in the thread on Alcohol Restrictions all members are aware of the laws and fines involved if caught carrying excessive amounts. The only place we will be in a restriction zone is approx 10klms past the Jardine river ferry heading to Seisa.
Take into consideration that there are only cans at the bottle shop at Bamage. So no spirits by them self only mixed in cans.
Allow drinks each day and evening when camp is set up. I allow at least up to 12 plus cans a day. When your sitting in a creek cooling off it's very hard not to have a few extra cans. I will be taking 5 cases for the trip up and then restock at Bamaga. I should be down to at least one case by the time I cross the ferry that's if I don't run out.
There will be certain members that will be more than happy to assist in reducing any ones alcohol excess before the crossing
Regarding spirits in bottles allow good storage areas that will protect them from the rough roads.

Is that all >:D

Tow a Hummer full of XXXX for Speewa
-
Curious...why are there restrictions on amount?
-
Aboriginal land and communities usually have alcohol restrictions.
North of the Jardine is all Aboriginal land.
-
Should I put spirits into plastic bottles so they not as breakable????
Would this also be easier to transport them in larger amounts????

Large , very LARGE fines in Bamaga / Seisa if in possesion of more than 24 cans full strength beer or premix [bundy and coke etc] or 30 cans midstrength beer per vehicle at any one time ,, Inspections do not happen very often but be warned they do happen.

I'm sending a nasty email to your boss yogi, if he doesn't let you go I'm going to his house and starting a party. >:(

As Mark said, stock up at Cairns, as the cost of XXXX Gold, north of Cairns is at least $60 for a carton of stubbies.
