Thanks for the heads up, just ordered 2, NOT.. I will stick to the elcheapo..... not much of a market for those bottles.... I can think of better things to spend my money on like accessories for my pajero....

Sorry. Jameson is Irish whiskey. Simply doesn't compare.

Yes it is Irish ..........................and does compare IF you know what to buy. ;D
Something like this; https://shop.jamesonwhiskey.com/p-16-jameson-rarest-vintage-reserve.aspx  would do me just fine.

Let me say first that my absolute favourite is a very good Scotch BUT, having said that, UIZ, you is more than welcome to bring that bottle of Jameson's round to my place and convince me otherwise.  .  .  .  . And I will promise to be totally objective.

FWIW, I don't reckon it's like comparing Chinese campers, I think that there are a number of great places that make a good whiskey (or whisky). Scotch, obviously, American Bourbon, if you have a spare dollar or two, try Lark Distillery in Tasmania - SUPERB. Open you rmind team, enjoy the drop, not the label!

Off my soap (whiskey) box now!

Try this one (wish I could...)

1937 Glenfiddich (http://www.glenfiddich.com/the-range/rare-collection-1937.html)

. Cask number 843 was laid down in July 1937, the year of King George VI’s coronation. Usually by the time the angels have taken their share over so many years the whisky has long since lost its full strength, but this remarkable and unrepeatable cask defies this convention. 64 years after being laid down only 61 bottles were filled of this truly exceptional Scotch whisky.

But as POD says, your more than welcome to come around to my place with your Jameson and try to convert me  ;D

And I agree, POD, Lark make an absolutely devine scotch. :cup:

I can understand why he is holding the bottle with white cotton gloves. I just hope it doesnt slip through his fingers, otherwise he will be on his hands and knees licking the stuff up.

Christmas eve 2009, we spent a very nice hour and were the last group to leave the Lark in beautiful Hobart harbourside. Reasonable whiskeys were sampled, however too pricey for my pocket unfortunately..................unless one of you mob are buying. ;D
