Title: Sevylor Colorado 2 Person Canoe, any experts out there, now purchased
Post by: GGV8Cruza on November 26, 2011, 06:28:20 PM
We are looking at getting one of these and wondering if anyone has any experience with them. We only want to have a bit of an explore on flat water and also play in some rivers when there is enough water.

Has anyone got any comments good or bad about them?

We have a different Sev. inflatable 2 person Canoe and it is pretty good. They are surprisingly heavy when deflated and packed up but tough as nails[well, not quite!] The trick is to have them pretty highly inflated as they paddle like a pig when a bit low.
Cheers

Well we have made a purchase and will give it a go over Xmas, I am sure it will give us a bit of fun and a few laughs. Will give a review in the new year

I have a 2 person Sevylor also. It is a great canoe as stated, a bit heavy, however it is really tough and has been great so far. I find mine is fantastic for rivers even in heavy flows and some white water. It is a bit of a chore on great expanses of flat water because they don't have a keel so they don't track all that straight and respond very quickly to every paddle movement. They also are wind effected.

Overall we Find ours excellent for the family and it could easily be used at the beach also. It takes me and the wife + the 2 kids (little ones) easily.
