After a visit from our farrier this week giving me a laugh, he looked like chopper reid armed with a file.
Thought I'd ask if anyone has taken the opportunity to grow a mo or beard for the month.

Time to bumpity bump this one up to the top ....... still 5 more days to go of fabulous MOgrowing pleasure! The donations have been a bit slow coming in this year (thank you to the forum members who have sponsored me!) But now Im putting on a big push to raise some more money for the Movember foundation. Quite simply Gents, this charity exists to support YOUR HEALTH! The movember foundation has not only donated money to cancer research, and research into mens health issues, but has also been a major backer in getting behind the opening of many MENS SHEDS around Australia. These places give men (yound and old) somewhere to congregate, leanr new skills (or polish up old ones) and have a chat about all things "blokey". Sometimes this can be the difference between loneliness and depression , and living well.
Please please please open your wallets folks and give generously to this cause. If not to me then one of you work collegues, friends, relatives, etc etc.
And remember for the month of MOvember my darling wife has REFUSED to kiss me! That itself deserves a donation!
Cheers Chippy :D

roped in several workmates also. i look sh1t with a mo but i always miss it when i shave it off come December. its that sipping a ice cold beer from a pint then having some leftover in your mo that does it i think :P
-
What do you do if you already have a mo?? ;D
-
Mutely,
You are meant to shave it off and start again

Yep, it's the same every year ... even here at work. No-one gives two hooters about Boob-Tober, but when Mo-Vember rolls around all the blokes are on the band wagon. Our trucks even have Mo's (right now) which is a bit disappointing since I suggest Boobs for them for Boob-Tober and got laughed at. We gals had a morning tea and forced the boys to wear pink ;D ha ha ... but we raised over $250 ... not bad since we are only 12% of the population here at work. I reckon they'll get a shock when they see us with Mo's for a day!

I'll be growing the Mo this year too. Will post some photos halfway through the month :{D
-
Not me.
It makes me look like a porn star.
That, and......
-
I do it every year, so far I have got $420 raised.
If anyone wants to throw in a few bucks for my effort shoot me a PM and I'll give you the link to my page.
-
Yep Im doing it again this year!
And as usual, I will be going for a whole month with out a kiss from my darling wife.
To the blokes who always say "My wife wont let me do it"
I say MAN UP! Im sure your wife wouldnt like you dying from prostate cancer or suffering from the long term effects of severe depression. MOvember is a great initiative that assists in funding for reasearch, and programs to help combate the spread of both of these "diseases".
So for those of you who want to contribute my donation page is
http://mobro.co/ToddBrown (http://mobro.co/ToddBrown)
This year Im going to download a photo a day for the whole month to track my progress.
Please donate ... it is such a worthy cause!
Cheers Chippy :D

So with Movember coming to a close and our team is still behind our target so in a last desperate hope to raise funds for a good cause I have shaved off half my mo and dyed the other half pink.
It set a very lovely scene last night having dinner in a Qld country pub and I still have to fly back to Brisbane during Friday's afternoon rush.
Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in Australia and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and male mental health.
I have been told that I am setting a fine example of male mental health issues.
The link to donate to this great cause is below and tax receipts are available to claim off your tax.
