Get a roll of velcro from an electrical wholesaler or similar.
Cut it to size and wrap around the ropes to keep them like that.
You could even wrap a piece around the pegs making them stay together.

x2 velcro straps

Awesome I knew it a simple solution to an annoying problem I can think of several other uses for Velcro so I'm of to the shop tomoz to grab some top marks peeps.

I bought mine from Bunnings, there are lots of different types, they are in the velcro section.

I hear ya!!! It annoys me, as well.
I keep all my pegs in a canvas tool roll. The type with several pockets, and a velcro strap around the lot.
I bought a couple of them from Southern Cross at one of the camping shows. Works well.
The other one even has some tools in it!!
Ropes get rolled up neatly, loose end tucked in, and put in a separate canvas bag.

You could cut a piece of old bike tube and use it like a heavy duty rubber band, cheap as chips and you can carry plenty of them easily.

We just use a canvas bag with main zipped bag + 2 side zip pouches. Ropes in the main part of the bag (ie. middle), yellow pegs zipped up in one side pouch and steel pegs in the other side pouch. Hammer gets thrown in on top of ropes. All ropes rolled up individually and have never got tangled up.

100mm sewer pipe with screw on ends. Stand upright in the toolbox and pull out the pegs. Sometimes I don't even bother putting the screw top back on.
-
I just use a plastic tool box. The pegs all lay in the lift out tote tray & I roll the ropes around the spring & slider & poke the end of the rope through the eye of the spring to keep them neat. Ropes go in the bottom of the box, tray on top, close lid, easy

x2 - we use the wider than normal ones - but not the red ones as they are too tight when you wrap them around your wrist when getting the ropes free.
-
all the pegs go in a smaller tool box to be moved as needed, all the ropes get left hanging on the tent or camper, why take them of?

x 3 ... I "borrow" them from work when they break. ;D Pegs (individually coiled and lacky banded), ropes, spare rope, hard floor assist rope, hammer all go in a canvas bag with zipper and handle. Brilliant!
Rainy pack up ... where ever it fits on the ute tray back without being blown/thrown out.

I have wooden stocks (for want of a better word), you know the handle thingo that you move to make the rope tight??
Well I wrap the rope round that, then on the last wrap the eyelet that goes over the top of the pole goes over the end of the stock. They seem to stay wound up that way.
sorry if you cant understand me,
