Title: getting started
Post by: honosurf on November 05, 2011, 12:57:08 PM
Its a big hello to all myswagers I have been browseing the sight for some 13 hours over a number of months it has been very interesting, I would like to post photos and tell stories (but) after reading how to do it from members who were also lost I am still lost so rather than go through more explanations if there are any members in the Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Emu Park area and have the time to show me I would be stoked. You know I am not sure if this is posted in the right place, I am no computer wiz so here's hoping.

Welcome to myswag Lawrie, lots of great info here.

Just a tip, I'd edit your post and remove your phone numbers and email address. You'll get heaps of spam otherwise.

Many thanks to Gunnado for his patience and time, my problem was resizing photos to fit, I have it all written down, so now I can play and hopefully not stuff up.

My first 4b was back in the late 60's and being a ford man it was an F100 a great old petrol truck mostly used for farm work. then a newer mid 70's F100 louieville style with the big mazda perkins diesel 6 terrific truck put a slide on camper on that one, only problem had no glow plugs park on a slope in winter. Early 80's went to a more slimmer holden radeo that didn't last long had to keep looking to see if the springs were welded up any rough road would knock your teeth out. Old landcruiser utes  mostly as work trucks I then moved onto the 60 series landcruiser had a couple of them then an 80 series then on to the Patrols I have had heaps of fun in these 4x4 and still am. I would to post some photos of them and my camper trailer builds now I have the hang of it.
Cheers Hono

Lawrie,  great to see a few pictures starting to appear in your posts.

Welcome to myswag.

When you get time start a thread in the My 4WD section of the forum, as I'd love to see a few pics of some of your old 4bys.
