Title: Some couriers can Rip you Off

Today I went to send an item from Canberra to Qld,  I thought it was 15g however it was actually 18.2kg's

The Post Office won't touch anything over 15kg's - fair enough I don't have a prob with that,  but if it was 15kg it would have cost $30.00

I had 2 choices of Couriers I figured the biggest would have been cheapest   
TNT quoted me $86.00  FFS

So I went up the road to Star Track Express   $36.00   thank you very much...   pheew

I just could not believe the difference...  Apparently if I had an account it would have been a whole lot cheaper but for average Joe sending a one off I will go Star Track every time.  But of course if it's under 15kg good ole Aussie Post will have to do...

15kg or 15g? ;)

I use Smart send through Allied Express and have now trieed e-go a few times and they are cheaper still ..

I used to use FedEx for all my international stuff until they tried to rip me off. They've been at me for 4 years to pay the bill but so far I've managed to avoid it. DHL are far better

you should see their quotes to send something to the North-West. The first and only quote I've got from them was for a box just shy of 20kg from Sydney - not much change from $600. Now they dont even accept my postcode in the quote page  ;D

yep it sure does Pistol Pete. I have an account with TNT and they are ultra competitive compared to other courier companies :cheers:

X 2 for e-go.com. Used them three times up and down the east coast, good prices.

give Fastway a go next time. i had an ARB fridge slide bought up from Tassie for $18.00 to north East Vic delivered to my door. More than happy with the service

A mate of mine uses pack n send quite often

Moves engel fridge, road bicycle, road bicycle frames
They must be a good price otherwise he would not use them.
