THE wife of Wodonga man Barry McLean says her family has found answers at his inquest, but now she wants action.
It has been confirmed the campervan which rolled and caused her husband to become involved in a horrific pile-up in which he died was unfit to be on the road.
Now she wants the serious safety concerns raised about Toyota HiLux utilities fitted with Matilda slide-on campers to be addressed, so there are no more fatal accidents.
A forgiving Endrina McLean blames no one for the death of her husband, but she is unhappy the same vehicle deemed “very unstable” by road-crash experts is still loose on Australian highways.
She said yesterday that now the coroner had made her findings, action should be taken.
“What annoys me is that it’s still back on the roads,” Ms McLean said.
“These people have to make it their No. 1 priority it doesn’t happen again.
