Title: cup weekend trips.
Post by: tommo on October 21, 2011, 06:33:27 PM
so I'll be hitting the high country the long weekend for the track opening I'd say we Victorians have been waiting for!
so far there will be three cars having a crack at making our way from mansfield to dargo then up to bright (hopefully....)
just thought I'd see who is planing on being in the area (and likes a beer or two) or knows something I don't about extended track closures and the what not..
of course the more the merrier!!

Doing the similar Tommo, licola-wonnangatta area just tents, no campers but a group of about 6 cars.  I think itll be pretty busy up there,  How are you getting from Mansfield to Dargo?

Let us know if Billy goats is open again, I thought it wasn't going to be open for some time yet. But my info is pretty old.

A long weekend for a bloody horse race...WTF, nah, we have to work up here on the Nthn River of NSW, ...that means no sucking piss and betting on an animal that has an IQ less then 10 (sorry Horse handlers)..but the people who bet on these things...they have no IQ at all...
But then again, any excuse to hit the bottle and get legless.

I work too hard for my money to plunk it on a nag...place being a Group 1 race...favourites...fat chance people...better to bet on black.

The weekend later, the 5th of NOv...heading to Nymbodia with a couple of families...rapids and kayaking with a moderate amount of arm bending....

Lived there 27yrs, Melbourne...people there take themselves too seriously to be sane...as other places in Vicoria.. there is some nice nooks and crannies...pitty about AFL..gone to sh1te...Southbank...who wants to live in a filing cabinet by a little bay that has southerly winds that send you cold as hell.
St Kilda beach...you call that a beach...give me a break!
But the transport system in Melbourne is good...I miss the food and the restrants...a new food group every day.
Up here on the Nrth Rivers...we would bleed for a train service...buses..well at least they have 4 wheels.

But up here on the Nrthn Rivers of NSW..."Every day is a holiday"
