As we are getting alot of members doing great trip reports would it be possible to have these in a separate category as it would make it easy for members looking for them in the future..

how can you when so many cross state lines, some more than 3-4 times... q

I thought that's what the "Trips, Tracks, Touring and Reports" section was for.
Not sure what you're suggesting Mark. ???

I'm guilty of that ;D

I suggested this before and I think it is a really good idea to have a state by state section and a cross borders section. It would help a lot for if you were looking for shorter trips within states, especially if you are not familiar with place names in that state.

A simple solution is EG
(VIC) High Country trip.
for each post.
I went to Echuca last week and only took a few pics and and a quick report so I just placed it in my Camper Thread. The weekend didn't really warrant a full trip report.

Any trip is worth doing a Trip Report on Rich, long or short. If more people posted up reports about their weekends away, the forum would be a better place for it. Plenty of people from the forum are doing trips away, but couldn't be bothered making the effort to post up about it.

Ok I'll do it now...

The idea was a separate trip report catergory as mentioned. I know we have it with other topics but to me it would be so much simpler to find a trip report.
I would not worry by state as yet.

What sort of categories are you thinking Mark?

I would have a weekend getaway catergory and a normal trip section. There are more members doing trip reports and having a separate section would allow members to research and maybe update any places that may have changed since the last report.

It doesn't really mater if it's a weekend trip away or week getaway, the information on the area is still the same. Splitting the reports up into separate sections will split the info further.
More encouragement is needed to get people to actually post up their trips rather than getting picky about what section of the forum it's in.
