My wife just told me that when she went to get a new battery in her watch there in front of her was a disabled woman. Her purchase was for $6.00 and handed the shopkeeper a $50.00 note, he returned $4.00 in change... FFS
Lucky the lady wasn't that disabled and after a bit questioned him a little, that was when the mrs hooked in and told him flat that she had handed him $50.00... She got her change this time... Apparently this guy appeared very guilty and looked like he was caught with his hand in the cookie jar and wasn't a mistake... PR!CK
Anyway I wish I was there and sorry that I have vented here instead..... I hope it was a mistake as AHoles like that don't.... (I won't say it my blood is Boiling)

I have been a carer for disabled people in Mackay and Manjimup and I despise people who would take advantage of them

Chain/franchise store? (like Mr Minute or similar)?
Contact the parent company and inform them of what happened.

Reminds me shopping with the wife a few years ago. She was at the checkout and using sign language (we are both fluent as my grandparents were deaf) to grab some eggs.
The two shop staff at the register turned and said: "look at this stupid bitch would you" and then "dumb as dog ...."
Wife turns to them and says:"I can hear you know"
Red faces all round!

Makes you sick, doesn't it?
When I was in Bris last, I caught a cab back to the office. Upon arrival, I handed the cabbie a cab charge voucher. He then proceeded to break his machine, and couldn't use it. Asked if I had any other way of paying. I explained that company policy was to use the cab charge vouchers, that's why we have them. He whinged on and off for 5mins, then pulled out a manual receipt book for the voucher, and started to write it up before abandoning it and going back to complaining and asking for cash. By this stage I was late for a meeting so just handed over a $50 note. I was feeling a bit bad that he wouldnt get paid, even though if was his fault. He then proceeds to short-change me, and starts arguing loudly when I challenge him.
Lesson learnt - don't go out of your way to help anyone.
It's a sad state of affairs when that's how the world is.
Thanks!
Matto :)

Had an Indian cabbie tell me his cab-charge machine was broken, then write out a voucher but only put the total fare on the top layer of paper.
I challenged him when he asked me to sign, and was stating I did not know what I was talking about. He was really pissed off when I wrote the fare on the other pages....

When I was a lot younger and used to go to the club it was common for the bar staff to watch as you drank and observe who actually checked their change or put in straight in their pocket, if you did that you got stung...
