Title: Staying in Broken Hill
Post by: BigJules on September 27, 2011, 09:22:02 PM
I'm guessing quite a few people are heading through Broken Hill. My in-laws came through there last week and told me the parks are really full, so it might pay to book to ensure you get a spot if you're planning on staying in town.

Accomodating lot here in BH. ;D

We're sitting around the corner from the border and Silverton roads. Great spot right in the middle of everything. :cup:

We were at Silverton the same time and the 60 vehicles din,t put a dent in the size of the park....Penrose Park would have to be big enough for  hundreds of cars   !!!!

We had a look around Silverton today. Reminded me of a desert version of Hill End. The tucker at the cafe' on the hill was grouse. :cup:

Also checked out the BH sculptures and even though it was very windy, it was a treat to see. :cup:

Yesterday we sat on a big red park bench on top of a big man made pile of dirt and rock.  ;D

Here is some obligatory been there done that pics.
