Title: Where to stay on sunshine coast. ?
Post by: meimarocu on September 14, 2011, 06:02:11 PM
Hi guys/gals. We are currently on Fraser island and looking for somewhere to stay on the sunshine coast once we are on the mainland. We are looking for a reasonable priced powered site, does anyone have any suggestions?
Cheers

I can't find the thread but I started a thread a little while ago in the trips section. With some good ideas in that area.

Cheers

I've stayed at Mudjimba before. Was pretty good, clean operators let us do a late checkout with no worries/cost at all. Friends we went with are going back next week for School Holidays. Did have an esky raid one sat night but that seems to be pretty common on school holidays. Pretty Close to the beach.

There is also the council park at Cotton Tree right on the river and beach at Maroochydore but I doubt you would get a site there on a weekend. Very handy park.

All the above are good. You had better get on the phone though as School Holidays start this weekend and most will probably be busy.

I rang them Saturday morning two weeks ago and they had plenty of sites (so we went down for Sat/Sun night). It's not cheap though, but you'd be hard pressed to find a park that has a better overall location than that one.

Munna Point is also good if you want somewhere to stay up this end.

I just had a look at Mudjimba Caravan Park and they have quite a number of powered grassed sites available for next week.

I am taking our new (older  ;D) CT down for a few days from Monday to Friday to give it a first run.

It looks like a tidy and well run park (council owned).

Cheers Balfang
